I am using SWT for a larger project.
My problem is that certain characters are displayed as Chinese symbols.
I am trying to display the word "Gösser" but all I get is "G
chinese_symbol ser" (which is returned from PostgreSQL as SQL_ASCII).
I am using FC2 with the following settings:
[hs@athlon src]$ locale
LANG=de_DE.UTF-8
LC_CTYPE="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_NUMERIC="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_TIME="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_COLLATE="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_MONETARY="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_MESSAGES="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_PAPER="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_NAME="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_ADDRESS="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_TELEPHONE="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_MEASUREMENT="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_ALL=
I have tried to pass a parameter to the VM (file.encoding) but this does
not help.
Does anybody have an idea?
Best regards,
Hans
