When I right click on "Databases" and choose "New" Oracle is not listed in
the Wizard select page.
So I chose "Generic JDBC Connection". I click Next, give it a name and
click Next again to get to the "Specify a Driver and Connection Details"
page. The "Select a driver" dropdown is empty. Clicking the button brings
up "Available Driver Definitions". I choose Oracle 10 and am unable to
proceed - the Next button is disabled. I tried New Driver and choose
Oracle and the OK button is disabled. It won't let me get any further than
this.
If I go under Help, Product Configuration, expand the installed program
listing and expand Data Tools Platform Enablement 1.5.2.200802201, Data
Tools Platform Enablement for Oracle 1.5.2.200802201 is clearly visible.
It is enabled and clicking on Show Properties, Status indicates that it is
OK.
This is a fresh install of Eclipse 3.3.2 build M20080221-1800 using
jdk1.5.0_13.
I followed the instructions at

Hi Barry...
In 1.5.2, you need to create a new Oracle driver definition
(Preferences->Connectivity->Driver Definitions) and then create a new
Generic JDBC profile, select that driver, and set your preferences.
In Ganymede (DTP 1.6) this is a little easier, as you'll see an Oracle
profile in the New Connection profile wizard.
Let me know if you need more info. Happy to help you out.
