hallo,
in our java (non-eclipse-based) application we need to introduce a new
editor window where user can edit our special high-level language. This
text editor should support (besides the standard text editing operations)
also syntax highlighting, content assist, context sensitive behaviour etc.
I'm beginner in Eclipse platform but after several hours of studying
documentation & examples I have an idea to use RCP for creating of such
editor. My question is whether it is possible to integrate it into our
existing java application and if that's possible then can anyone give me a
short description how to do this or point me to some document which
describe it or at least to give me some good hints what I must do and what
I should be aware of?
Thanks in advance,
Martin

I would rehost your entire application in an eclipse RCP application.
