XmlParserPoolImpl 2.1.0 not thread safe? [message #398126]

I'm in need of a thread safe of XMLParserPool for loading resources
within a servlet for EMF 2.1.x. Looking at the Javadoc for
XMLParserPoolImpl for EMF 2.1.0, it claims it's not thread safe. But
you could fool me; looks pretty thread safe to me. Comparing it to the
implementation in EMF 2.2.20, which claims it IS thread safe.

Is EMF 2.1.0's XMLParserPoolImpl thread safe, but the Javadoc comment is
wrong? Or, if it is not thread safe, can someone explain how?

Patrick,

I'll have to ask Elena about the Javadoc comments. Looking at the 2.1
version with two methods both of which are synchronized, it looks thread
safe to me too.

Hi Patrick,

In 2.1 there is a typo in Javadocs for XMLParserPoolImpl.

The XMLParserPoolImpl is thread-safe - the typo is fixed in EMF 2.2.
