Cannot close connection when passing in direct connection [message #366975]

Hi there,

This issue carried on from this issue:

I was wondering if anyone had this issue and has a work-around? I am
passing in a direct connection (not pooled) to BIRT and upon the report
generation completion, I try to do a connection.close(), and I get a SQL
exception saying "cannot close connection while a transaction is still
active." The post in the link above describes part or maybe all of the
issue.

Any input is appreciated.
