I am having the "missing BIRT perspective" problem after reinstalling BIRT
2.2.2 framework on eclipse 3.3.2. I've followed directions: removed all
BIRT files and folders from eclipse, used the "clean" option and made sure
I was loading eclipse with a 1.5 JRE.

I've spent about four hours reviewing forums and retrying. I find it hard
to believe this problem still exists.

Is there anything else I can try before downloading the BIRT all-in-one
package. I have a ton of projects in eclipse, and I have myeclipse
installed. I am afraid I will have to spend another day reconfiguring my
environment.

My solution, which turned out to be quite easy.
(1) Uninstall MyEclipse.
(2) Rename the current Eclipse directory.
(3) Download the BIRT all-in-one and unzip it.
(4) Reinstall MyEclipse.
