Hello there,
after starting eclipse, I neither can select the perspective "Database
Development", nor I can create any J2EE-Project (at File/New/Project I can
see only General, CVS, Java and Examples with subtrees, but no
J2EE-similar).
I have installed eclipse 3.3 (eclipse-java-europa-win32)
After that I have copied into the eclipse directory:
- emf-sdo-xsd-SDK-2.3.0
- GEF-SDK-3.3
- dtp-sdk_1.5
- wtp-R-2.0-200706260303
- derby_core_plugin_10.3.1
- derby_ui_plugin_1.1.1
On my PC there was already installed j2re1.4.2_11
I also installed jdk-6u2-windows-i586-p
After starting eclipse, looking in Help/About, everything is installed:
Apache Derby, Data Tools, DTP, EMF, GEF, JST, JFace, JAP, Tomcat Plugin,
WST, ...
Looking at Help/Software Updates/Manage Configuration, all of the Plugins
are Enabled and configured properly.
I have also tried to install the Europa for EE-Developers, but again the
same behaviour.
Please help me!
What have I forgotten?
Thanks in advance
Georg

Georg,
EMF 2.3 requires a 5.0 JRE so be sure you are running Eclipse itself
with a 5.0 JRE.
