Add/remove users without restarting or mysql [message #1854627]

New to mqtt so not entirely sure of all the terminology yet.

I have an mqtt broker (1.6.10) running on centos 7.9 that is logging to mysql but one problem is having to restart the service each time a user/device is added/removed.

I've read that there is a way to use mysql but nothing I've found really shows how it can be done. There are a ton of articles and information on how to do it but most seem to be for other mqtt servers.

Can anyone shed some light?
