For background context: I am using Windows 11 on my new laptop. My old laptop had Windows 10. I am still new to using eclipse. I had downloaded eclipse on my old laptop and it also had a few projects on there too. Then, I broke it (yipee :/) so I decided to buy a new one and restore from my old laptop when prompted in the laptop setup. I redownloaded Java jdk and eclipse but now when i try to open it gives me said error? What can I do? Would it be necessary to fix my old laptop? Also please explain in simple terms.

Download a fresh version of Eclipse (either the installer or one of the packages), not an Eclipse copied from another location or from another computer.

Thank you. Also should I uninstall eclipse before I install a fresh version?

No, because Eclipse isn't installed in that sense. You can just delete the installation folder but nothing is put in the system registry such that it needs to be "uninstalled".
