Hi Xtexters

For reasons(tm) https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=568936 https://github.com/eclipse/xtext/issues/2028
we have decided to move to reload4j (maven/gradle) and to the orbit org.apache.log4j 1.2.19 orbit bundle.
The current Xtext nightly contains that move.

We highly encourage you to test and give feedback

Thanks and kind regards
Christian

Hi Christian

Running an OCL build now picks up log4j 1.2.19 from Xtext nightly whereas previously it came from Orbit. A cosmetic change presumably of no significance.

But now [2] org.apache.commons.lang fails when previously [1] it was resolved by

[INFO] Fetching org.apache.commons.lang_2.6.0.v201404270220.jar.pack.gz from https://download.eclipse.org/modeling/emft/mwe/updates/nightly/plugins/ (106.17kB)

we removed commons lang from xtext as xtext itself no longer uses it
same for mwe https://github.com/eclipse/mwe/pull/212

Hi Christian

Ok. Turns out there was only one usage from contributed code and that invoked a deprecated routine for which EMF CodeGenUtil provides an adequate replacement.
