As expected I cant connect to test.mosquitto.org:1884 without a username and password.

$ mosquitto_sub -h test.mosquitto.org -p 1884 -t "#"
Connection error: Connection Refused: not authorised.

Where can I find username and passeword for test.mosquitto.org:1884.
Would the same work for 8885?

The authenticated listeners require a username / password:

rw / readwrite : read/write access to the # topic hierarchy
ro / readonly : read only access to the # topic hierarchy
wo / writeonly : write only access to the # topic hierarchy
