Care to elaborate on that? "does not work" is about as vague as you can be.

Hi

Surely there is no Java 15 plugin for 2020-09 since Java 15 is built-in? An additional Java 15 plugin should therefore 'not work', but perhaps the error message could be clearer.

Regards

My guess is that he is referring to this marketplace entry where there seem to be quite a few errors from users trying it:

https://marketplace.eclipse.org/content/java-15-support-eclipse-2020-09-417#bootstrap-panel--2

When I try it in my fresh new Java IDE 2020-09 it results in this:

index.php/fa/38938/0/

I doesn't think I'm able to install the PDE patch. Likely that's because the Java IDE doesn't have the full PDE feature installed, and this listing says the PDE patch is required, though I think it's not required if the PDE feature isn't installed...

May I add my two cents....

I have:
- Windows 10
- eclipse-java-2020-09-R-win32-x86_64.zip
- openjdk-15_windows-x64_bin.zip

I got a similar screen like Ed Merks:

index.php/fa/38942/0/
index.php/fa/38943/0/

When you hit confirm eclipse will install the patch:

index.php/fa/38944/0/

Regards.
