I'm currently tied to BIRT v4.2.2 because it is the version embedded into the product I'm using (Rational Software Architect). I have authored reports to the *xls Excel format with this version of BIRT. I'd really like support for the newer *.xlsx format, so my question is which minimum BIRT version will support this with the stock Excel emitter? It's really not documented anywhere that I can find.
