I installed version 4.8 from tar.gz (simple extraction) on mint 19.
I would like to be able to delete it completely, with the configuration files, but I can not.
I deleted the folders: eclipse, .eclipse, .swt, .cashe / eclipse, but nothing has changed.
after the decompression and the launch the previous situation appears to me.
Where am I wrong or do I forget to cancel?

What indication are you seeing that you can not delete it completely? What are you decompressing, and what is "the previous situation"?

I had practically installed the color plugin, with a black background.
after the reinstallation it reappeared,
while I wanted the factory settings.
