After being chastised for my unacceptable expressions here and being run-off form another forum I like to ask this question here , if I may.

It is OT , but it would help me to be a better communicator of technical issues.

If I read a register value - do I get "content" or "contents" ?
"Content" can have totally different meaning and from experience some people just do not get / read things in context. No pun intended.
"Contents" seem better description since generally there are more ( plural) then one bits is the value.
Just asking for opinions.
Thanks for reading.
Cheers

It's not an Eclipse question so a bit off topic. But since you ask you nicely, to me it's really more of an English grammar question. Looking at https://english.stackexchange.com/questions/13556/content-or-contents I think it's correct to say that a register has contents, i.e., a fixed number of bits as you've suggested.
