Vanilla Install Errors Creating Project [message #1787553]

I have done a fresh install of Eclipse on Windows 10 and have created (what I think) is a vanilla project.

I try to open the project and nothing happens. I look at the console log:
Error retrieving parent for item: No resource found that matches the given name 'Theme.AppCompat.Light'.*

And I get some errors like:
"...Check the console for output." And various other errors.

I can provide the rest of the errors if needed.

Any ideas please?
