Hi,

I received to several post in this forum, an answer like "this is not possible with standard properties widget, but you can implement a custom widget." While it makes sense to cover well the common scenarios and use customization to support the more specific/complex scenario, the migration to the web will be more costly.

Do you have any plans for the migration path of custom widget properties when Sirius will move to the web? Is there anything we should take care when designing a custom widget to facilitate the move to the web?

Thanks
Yann

Concerning the move to the web, we're currently working mainly on the diagrams and will look at the other parts (including properties views) once we've got the ball rolling. Of course the priorities can change depending on clients' needs. We will do our best to make the transition as smooth as possible, including for users who have custom code. There will certainly be some parts that will need to be rewritten given the technical and architectural changes the move imply, but it is too early to know exactly what will need to be rewritten, simply adapted, or kept as-is. We will provide guidelines once we have advanced enough on transitioning the core of Sirius itself.

If you are interested by moving to the web, do not hesitate to give more details about your requirements (here or by contacting me directly at pierre-charles.david@obeo.fr if you prefer).
