cannot open update site for ObeoNetwork/BPMN-Designer [message #1785230]

for Obeo BPMN designer ( at https://github.com/ObeoNetwork/BPMN-Designer )

the install process mentions the update site is at:
https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/obeo-bpmndesigner-releases/3.5.0/repository/

when I open this I only see:

Is commercial support available for Obeo BPMN designer? Should it work with eclipse Oxygen?

Hello,

The bpmn designer update site must be used in the "Install new software..." wizard of your eclipse runtime.

Thanks, I solved the problem, actually my workplace firewall and security rules didnt like that the link had https. I solved this by removing the s!

Thanks Melanie,
I will talk to my employer about this. I am looking at all the different BPMN tools for them. The primary thing that we need is to show is subprocesses inside subprocesses (which seems to be disallowed visually in Obeo BPMN designer) and the ability to collapse a subprocess to a smaller size (collapsing in Obeo designer seems to keep the same size and make the contents invisible) Do you know if these features are available? I am using the latest version with ObeoDesigner 10 and I also point to the eclipse oxygen release update site.

Actually I can see the advantage of just making subprocess elements invisible and not collapsing them. But I am surprised that the tool does not display sub-processes inside subprocesses (like ecore tools displays packages contained by packages). It can store subprocesses contained by subprocesses in the model instance, but just not display them, unless this is a case of user error!

I can get the tool to allow display and creation of Subprocesses contained by other subprocesses by editing the .odesign file. It might be that my solution is a bit hacky or causes other problems though. I could consider adding it as a pull request if it is useful.
