Hello everyone,
Eclipse Version: Eclipse 4.8 Build id: I20180124-2000
Fedora 27
g++ (GCC) 7.2.1 20170915 (Red Hat 7.2.1-2)
ccache version 3.3.4
jre 9.0.4
Laptop Spec: i7 7700HQ, 8GB RAM
I have recently migrated from Netbeans 8.2 to Eclipse 4.8 but am experiencing performance issues during compile. To be more specific, sometimes during a compile run Eclipse freezes for a undetermined amount of time. Sometimes this even causes Fedora to lock up too. Freezes always recover when the compile run has completed.
My project have approximately 30,000 lines of code and depending upon various factors the project compiled in Netbeans took anything from 15 seconds to about 1 minute. Recently, I have seen Eclipse take more than six minutes. Has anybody else experienced problems like this?
I have recently added two includes which contain raw image data that are about 9mb each. Could this be causing a problem?
Many thanks
Amanda
