Problem importing git project with the same name [message #1779988]

Hello,

I'm using Spring Tool Suite and want to import a git project into my workspace. The problem I'm running into is there's already a project with that name in my workspace, so it tells me "Some projects cannot be imported because they already exist in the workspace".

I really need to have both projects in there.

I've tried renaming the project that's already in the workspace using Refactor > Rename, but the project is renamed for a few seconds before automatically changing back to its original name.

Any ideas?
