Hi all,

We're trying to deploy RAP Mail application to Apache Karaf OSGI container, sometimes it's successfully deployed, sometimes it's not with the the following exception:

From the source code the error originates from the following snippets in org.eclipse.core.internal.registry.osgi.RegistryStrategyOSGI:

bundle = Activator.getContext().getBundle(OSGiId);

which returns null.

But I can't find log printed anywhere for this OSGiId so it's not possible to inspect it's value.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks & Regards,
SetNug

Hi Setya,

I just ran into the same problem. I am running RAP on karaf 4.0.9.
After changing a karaf feature (feature:repo-refresh) and uninstalling and reinstalling it, your reported error would appear. Restarting karaf would not help.

My somewhat unsatisfying solution was to delete karaf's data folder and then installing all karaf features anew. Would be nice to know what the root cause was. I suspect it has to do with the bundle start levels (which I am still trying to figure out in my karaf features).

Cheers,
Clemens

Hi Clements,

I'm thinking about using WeavingHook to find out what's passed as the bundle iD, but I don't have time to dig it deeper for now.

Thanks & Regards,
