I have created a constraint block named (c1) in the BDD. It contains some parameters named p1, p2.

Now I am creating a parametric diagram and creating a constraint property block, with type as c1. However, I do not see p1, p2 in the constraint property box and hence not sure how to connect it to other constraint blocks.

Please help.

Hi,
Can you please communicate us the SysML version (SysML 1.1 or SysML1.4) ?
Thanks

Hi,

Sorry for delay.
I think this will be reported as a bug.
But, you can manage it by this following steps:

1. On your constraint property block, Right click > Filters > Show Hide compartments
2. Check the "internal structure" compartment -> The compartment is displayed in your diagram
3. Modify the drag and drop strategy preferences to remove the "Parameter drag and drop" strategy (see screenshot in attachement)
4. Now, can you drag and drop your parameter in the contraint property.

HTH.
Nicolas

Thanks Nicolas.

I agree that I can drag and drop the parameters, but I was hoping that parameters are visible in the block by-default. Is my expectation not correct that all parameters of a constraint block should be automatically added to the instance?

Hi,

Currently, this is not the behavior of the default settings for the block.
After some investigations on bugzilla, i think the Bug 502166 - [SysML 1.4] [BDD] Missing compartments of a block is related to your needs. You can comment it, or create a new bug in Bugzilla if this is not really the same, and we will take a look on it.

Nicolas.

Thanks Nicolas. Bug report at https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=502176 is the same and has fixed the problem.
