Hi peoples,

I installed Jubula 8.4.1.123 following the migration information.
But i cant get the AUT started. I added a file with the error message.
I renamed the old Jubula folders under program files by adding '_old'. But that has no effect. Still an exception.
If we create an empty AUT with only the jre specified, we get another exception (AUT_error_2.txt)
I am using Windows 7 professional.

What am i doing wrong?

kind regards,

Jurjen

Hi Jurjen,

Sorry to hear you're having problems. Can you remind us what kind of AUT you are testing (swing, rcp, ...) and can you post a screenshot of your AUT configuration?
Possibly a silly question - since the AUT can't be started via the old installation any more either, are you sure you've not changed anything in the AUT?

Are you definitely using the new version of the AUT Agent if you are using a separate agent?

Best regards,
Alex

hi Alexandra,

We are testing a swing AUT.
I added a zip with 3 AUT configs with the error messages when the config is started.
I am using the embedded AUT agent 'Connect to embedded AUT agent'.

I hope all your questions are answered with this info? If not let me know.

I hope you can help me with this. Otherwise i am forced to stay working with version 8.2

kind regards,

Jurjen

update: in Jubula 8.3 the AUT starts fine and i can run a test.

hi Alexandra,

I am missing the 'Main Class Name' and the Classpath in the AUT configuration in Jubula 8.4. I'm afraid that's the reason why i can't get it working...

I always specified a Main Class Name and a Classpath with a set of jar's in the AUT configuration. So, the important question for me is now 'How can i get this working with Jubula 8.4?'

kind regards
Jurjen

Hi Jurjen,

ah, we're getting closer to the problem Smile

We removed the fields for main class name and classpath since we figured that most (all) applications now can be started via a jar or executable file.
Do you have a jar or an e.g. exe / cmd / bat for your AUT that you can use in place of the main class and classpath in the AUT configuration? That would be the best thing to do.

Best regards,
Alex

Looking at your screenshot - you will definitely need to enter either the executable file or the jar file. One of the two is needed to start an AUT.

Hi Alexandra,

Yes! I already saw that the SimpleAdder is started with a cmd. I can use a cmd to start our application.
Thanks for your effort. My problem is solved! Smile

kind regards
Jurjen
