I must use Eclipse on Linux and my development computer is locked behind a firewall. No proxies are permitted. Only copying files in through the firewall is permitted. So, I copied the tarball in, and installed Eclipse by untar'ing it. Now I want to customize Eclipse by adding plugins such as DBeaver and JAutoDoc (and others). What is the best way to add the plugins to Eclipse after I copy the files in through the firewall?

I will not have internet access for keeping Eclipse up-to-date, either! So copying files is my only option from here on out. Is it possible or advisable to somehow create my own update site within our firewall, so that I can use Eclipse's mechanism for automatic updates??
