Recently we installed the Remote Systems Explorer and JMON on a z/OS 2.1 mainframe. I am able to login and use the Remote Systems Explorer through IBM Explorer for z/OS.
***EDITED*** I gathered some additional information and my original post was incorrect so removed everything for clarity.

Have an update to this...I IPL'd our system and got some answers. Everything appears to cleanup at IPL and then when the system comes up I have all these tasks:
JOBNAME StepName ProcStep JobID Owner
RSED RSED RSED STC96520 RSED
RSED1 STEP1 STC96514 RSED
RSED2 STEP1 STC96548 RSED
RSED2 STEP1 STC96566 RSED
RSED3 STEP1 STC96572 RSED
RSED4 STEP1 STC96552 RSED
RSED5 STEP1 STC96573 RSED
RSED1 and RSED4 are the only ones with activity with the exception of RSED2 STC96566 that seems to handle logins. My redirected question should be...what are all these RSEDx tasks for if they never have activity across them?
