Hi,
Profiles in UML provide extensions to the metamodel. I think what you
need for your use case is rather a "model library": a re-usable
package containing elements such as the Timer activity that you can
import into and reference in other models.
So, something like the UML Primitive Types library that is provided by
Papyrus, except that you create it yourself and put more complex stuff
into than just primitive types.
