I wonder if does gef4 implement animations api like JavaFx. For example, FadeTransition, PathTransition, etc.

As GEF4 is fully based on JavaFX for visualization (and just provides some useful additions to it), you can directly use the JavaFX provided animation API in your GEF4-based application.

We do not make use of animations directly within GEF4 yet, but we plan to integrate this as well for undo and redo of operations in MVC or e.g. for application of dynamic layout in Zest.
