HI

The auto-generated *.ecore should not be edited. HOwever if the
auto-generation cannot be persuded to produce what you need you can
graduate to manual *.ecore files. Then you can use the Sample Ecore
Editor (Tree), Xcore Editor (Xtext for normal EMF), OCLinEcore Editor
(Xtext for arbitrary EMF + OCL), Ecore Diagram Editor .... to maintain it.

I recommend manual files, you regain control, but if you're not familiar
with EMF they are hard to configure. I think I have an Xtext Bugzilla
outstnading requesting a refactoring aid.
