My client is a highly dynamic and globally successful financial services organisation. They currently have an opportunity for a Senior Developer/Manager to join their team in GlasgowBackground:Institutional and Corporate Technology (ICT) is one of five divisions within Technology & Data.

We face off to the business and support services to develop and oversee the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the enterprise.

Our clients include Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research, Global Capital Markets, Operations, Finance, and Legal & Compliance. We are responsible for Pioneer and Application Infrastructure groups that look to develop foundational strategies, tools and technologies that are leveraged across Tech & Data, as well as standardized data and enterprise-wide services to provide leverage to the Firm's businesses.

- Lead a team that develops functionality in an iterative fashion, writing full unit and integration tests for everything that is developed
- Working with team members and our partners to ensure that all functionality is fully UAT tested before being released to Production
- Continuously improve the quality of our system and codebase via best practices including code reviews and refactoring where necessary- Show front-to-back ownership of the Customer Asset Segregation system and always strive to serve the needs of our clients.

Skills required (essential):
- Strong knowledge of Java, primarily within server-side development
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux
- Good understanding of multi-threaded Java programming
- Experience using relational databases (SQL)

- Financial service experience

Chris,

Is this related to Eclipse in any way? If not, this is not an
