Hello,

I am new to Epsilon. I couldn't able to access the Epsilon GIT repository. Is this the correct URL git://git.eclipse.org/gitroot/epsilon/org.eclipse.epsilon.git ? or do I need any special access to the repository.

I am getting the fatal error.

$ git clone git://git.eclipse.org/gitroot/epsilon/org.eclipse.epsilon.git
Cloning into 'org.eclipse.epsilon'...
fatal: Unable to look up git.eclipse.org (port 9418) (No such host is known. )

Actually I want to access the examples for Epsilon 1.3 release i.e
latest interim version

Hi Rajkumar,

This seems to be working fine for me (no credentials are required to clone the repository). Could you please try to ping git.eclipse.org to rule out a network-level (DNS?) problem on your side?

Hi Dimitris,

Thank you for the quick reply. I am able to access the sources from GITHUB. However I think some problem in my proxy settings to access the sources codes from eclipse which I will find to resolve this problem.
I have currently taken the update site of epsilon
"http://download.eclipse.org/epsilon/interim/" which is quite compatible version to my Eclipse version. The Interim version seems to be 1.3 version. Would it be possible for me to access the sources of Eunit/examples of Epsilon 1.3? Would be nice if get the jar for this plugins. Hence I can play with the examples of Epsilon.

Have you tried the Github mirror for the Epsilon sources?

Thank you for your support. I am able to access the https://github.com/eclipse/epsilon without any issues.

the repository contains...
+ apps
+ cinema
+ css
+ data
..
..
+users

However I couldn't find the Epsilon sources in https://github.com/eclipse/epsilon.

Oh, sorry! That's the mirror for the Epsilon website's sources, not Epsilon itself. I looked around and it seems that Eclipse no longer recommends using Github's automated mirrors anymore:

https://wiki.eclipse.org/Git/External_Mirrors

The problem is that the examples are also part of the Git repository, so the only way to get them is to clone the repository. You should still be able to browse through the examples using Eclipse's web interface for the Git repo, though:

https://git.eclipse.org/c/epsilon/org.eclipse.epsilon.git/tree/examples
