Hello I'm posting here because I don;t know if I'm doing something wrong or if it's a papyrus issue. The Help menus show a Context Menu on Diagrams to add Layers. I don't have that choice on my Context Menus or any Layer menu choice anywhere actually. I don't know if layers were dropped on Papyrus 1.1, or I need to install some additional component, or it's a bug, or anything else? Any info appreciated thanks.

Hi,

Layers are an extra-component. You can install them via the "Help > Install Papyrus Additional Components > Modeler Extensions/Papyrus Layers", or using the following update site:

http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/papyrus/updates/releases/mars

Regards,
Camille

Be aware that, even when installing the additional component, you might encounter some 'hickups', see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=472359
