Hi all,

eTrice is going to improve the user help, in particular some user assistance will be integrated into the tooling:

Keyword hover help: description one-liner, syntax "cheat-sheet", link to Eclipse Help
Context Help for dialogs and editors: help sidebar + link to related elements in Eclise Help
Context Help for diagram elements: help sidebar + link to related elements in Eclise Help
Links in diagram to Eclipse Help: "ContextButtonPad" for link to Eclipse Help

Unfortunatley, the sidebar provides only plain text (except for bold text). But it is possible to present helpful links to related elements in the Eclipse Help.

The keyword hover help supports HTML and thus will have a better styling (like syntax highlighting) in the final version.

Furthermore we have already the online web manual, Eclipse Help and PDF manual.

What are the most important to you and which one should be prioritized ?

Hi,
I think we should support all 4 places for help.
The help formats:
According to some users I know we could do without the PDF, but we need the Eclipse Help and HTML online help
