What is the right way to express the deployment of component instances in Papyrus?

In Papyrus v1.0.2, I can create an InstanceSpecification having a Component as its Classifier. I cannot figure out how to represent the deployment of the Component Instance. When I try to add it to a Node, Device, or Execution Environment on a Deployment Diagram then the Instance just gets booted out of the Node box. It would make sense to restrict instances of components to being deployed on instances of Nodes, Devices, or Execution Environments. Unfortunately, instances of those elements are drawn as basic rectangles rather than as Node containers and cannot accepts sub-elements.
