That's a lot to learn at once! Note that Sirius relies heavily on both
Eclipse and EMF, and most of our documentation assumes a working

Yes, you need a metamodel first. It corresponds to the "schema" of the
data you want to represent and manipulate with Sirius.

I could give you step by step instructions (see
https://wiki.eclipse.org/Sirius/Tutorials/4MinTutorial), but if you are
not already familiar with Eclipse as an IDE, you will very quickly get
stuck after that. I can only encourage you to familiarize with Eclipse,
its terminology and way of working before embarking in learning EMF and
Sirius.

but it is more of a reference documentation and probably not suited for
