Hello everybody,

at the moment if I start Eclipse with the agentlib for debugging enabled and a specific chosen port I do not get any notification if that port is already in use by another application.

The only notification about that problem can be seen by starting Eclipse from the command line.

Is there a need for such a notification or even some kind of automation which chooses another freely available port on the system and starts Eclipse with that new chosen port?

If so I can try to implement that within the Eclipse native binary and supply a patch then.

Best regards,
Juergen
