Hi everyone,

I am currently working on a set of code generation tools that use an Ecore metamodel (modeled using Ecore Tools) as an input. The problem is that the input metamodel must comply with given business rules. For example, the code generation tool does not support a model containing an EClass having a reference to itself.

I would like to know if it is possible to extend the Ecore Tools modeler so that I can add my own metamodel validation rules and include them in the Validation layer, such as standard validation rules (such as "An attribute shall have a name and a type"). Is there any extension point related to this purpose or any other way to do this ?
