Howdy,

I have a directive from a client to display the row number in a table.

Is there a way to get the "current row index" from the jface table
architecture?

No. This has been discussed already but from a framework point of view
like JFace is one this is hard to offer currently the only possibility
is to calculate this yourown.

Try to google for it and you'll find threads in the newsgroups outlining
the best solution. I once started writing a snippet demonstrating a
performant algorithm but never finished it.
