What is the best way to implement a welcome page? Is the welcom.xml
supported on Eclipse 3.1? I have tried that and it didn't seems to work.
Is the "org.eclipse.ui.intro" the right thing to use if I am devlopement a
new plguin for eclipse that will consist of a welcom screen?

In general, to create an intro you need to use 2 extension points. First
org.eclipse.ui.intro and then org.eclipse.ui.introConfig, the generated
plugin gives a good example.
