CDT Problem [message #99319] Fri, 09 April 2004 18:36 Go to next message

I'm attempting to run cdt 1.2.1 on top of Eclipse 2.1.1. I moved all the
folders into the right directories, and when I open Eclipse it sees the new
plugin. I can change my perspective to the c/c++ one, but for some reason,
I can't create a new c/c++ project, the option just isn't there. What's
going on here? I tried cdt 1.2 and that didn't work either.

Try in "New" other, what wizards do you see ?
You should the "Java" wizards, the "C" and "C++" wizards
category. If not something is seriously wrong in the installation

I've got the same problem with Eclipse 3m8 and cdt 2.0.0.

Any idea avoiding a complete new "install"?

Even a complete new "install" including new working dir doesn't solve the
problem?!

Did you check the "Show All Wizards" button in the
File->New->Project
window?

On one of the system I use (I think it was Fedora, on my notebook, with
large font sizes)
the option was not visible, I had to resize the window to see it. By
default, I saw only
"Java Project" and "Plug-in Project" wizards.

It is really annoying to re-scale all the time the pop-up windows when
using large font sizes.

This is unfortunately not the solution for me. :-(

Common problems/mistakes:
* you have proper version of Eclipse and CDT?
* You have not installed the CDT 2.0 M8 completely (inclusively make and
managed build)?
* You maybe have deactivated plugins in the Update Manager?
