MARTE palette usage [message #987038] Fri, 23 November 2012 00:47 Go to next message

Hello
i have question about MARTE Palette usage

when we create new Papyrus model for class diagram and then apply register profle,MARTE Foundation subprofile to that model
we notice that the palette changed to contain tabs for Foundation
My question is:
what is the difference and the purpose of :
1-use these tabs(related to MARTE Foundation) in Palette
2-right click on the model element and then apply specific stereotypes
from properties view.

i illustrated 1 and 2 in attachment

Ann

Hello Ann,

There should be no difference, except that using the Palette is easier.

Hello Camille

thank you for reply

a-i try to use concurrencyResource stereotype
i attached 2 files please check them Does both have the same meaning?

b-Does this mean that:
in the first case there is abbreviated list(Palette)because not all stereotype mentioned?
in the second case more detail?

Hello Ann,

The Marte Palette tool does the following actions:

- Create a new Class
- Set its name to ConcurrencyResource1
- Apply the ConcurrencyResource stereotype

So the only difference between the two cases is the Class' name (Which is initialized to "Class1" when using the standard UML Palette tool).

Camille

Hello Camille

thank you so much for clarification
yes i understood the actions that the MARTE Palette tool does
but we can't use it for all stereotype only in the second case all stereotype viewed
does this right?

Regards
Ann
