C++ Eclipse / WebSphere confusion [message #97450] Fri, 26 March 2004 05:35 Go to next message

Hello,

I am evaluating development tools for C++ and Java which
run on both Windows and Linux (and possibly also target
embedded devices). I have downloaded an evaluation version
of WebSphere Device Developer and am now trying to figure
out how it relates to Eclipse.

As far as I can see, it uses the same IDE but supports
additional project types. In particular, it also supports
C++ projects. Is this related to CDT, or are there different
C++ plug-ins (?) for Eclipse, open-source and proprietary?

Furthermore, I suppose J9 is not related to Eclipse,
although it comes with the Device Developer.

Thank you for any clarifications.

You will have to contact where you got the distribution.
They use to distribute with an old version of the CDT and some
enhancements.
