Hi,
I find only the simple project in I20050422, what happened to the Dynamic
Web Project (I think that was it's name)?
Having eclipse M6, I20050422 and the recommended extensions for it.
(restart after each new copied extension).

I am missing them, too.

Please read the thread:

"J2EE Web Project: Where have they been gone?", dated 8.4.2005

The Dynamic web project is now called "J2EE Web Module" and is available
in under the "Web" category. To create a J2EE Web Module you need o
create Flexible project that you can create directly from the J2EE Web
Module wizard or by going through New -> Java -> Flex Java Project.
These are the changes in support of Flexible project structure for WTP M4.

However, it is not clear how you can create a Flexible Project/Web
Module-Combo which content is located in the root of the Flexible
Project instead of in a subdirectory.

How can we import all those projects that have a structure similar to:

root
|
+- src (all java sources go here)
|
+- web (all web content goes here)
.. |
.. +- WEB-INF/web.xml
.. |
.. +- lib (libraries)
.. .

I hope this is possible somehow. We can't change our running projects
structure.

Regards,

Andreas

In few words, what is the need/advantage of a "flexible project"? As I
didn't need it before I didn't follow the discussion.

We understand the need to "hide" the flexibilty in most cases, and in M5
will work on usability issues in our wizards. The default will continue
to be one module component per project, and flexible structures will
remain an "advanced" option.
