I just made a clean install of Ubuntu 11.10, downloaded and installed Oracle Java JDK and JRE, version 7, and downloaded Eclipse Juno from eclipse.org and unpacked it to a folder. I started Eclipse, imported a preferece file, and then opened an exsiting workspace.
When Content Assist appears the background is black which is a bit strange but the white text is readable, what is unreadable is the dark blue text which details any sugggested options.
I've made preference changes to make the background yellow but nothing changes.
Anyone know how make the Content Assist Popup readable?

@Russell
I don't have ClearLooks but I did solve the problem.
UBUNTU:
System->Appearance->Theme->Adwaita
ECLIPSE:
Window->Preferences->General->Appearance->Theme->GTK
and
Window->Preferences->General->Appearance->Color & Fonts->Content Assist
The title to my JFrom is now centered, too, as an added benefit.
Thanks!
I have another machine that was upgraded twice, finally to 11.10. I had fixed this on it with no problem a long time ago. Probably some debris from the earlier OS was left behind.
