Hi all, my apologies if this is not the correct place to ask this but I find
this whole setup a little confusing. I'm relatively new to Java programming
and have been using NetBeans with some success. Work prospects dictate I
learn the Eclipse IDE though so here I am. I've downloaded it and read all I
can but I'm still in need of tutorials or something. I'm most intereted in
developing jsp pages and classes/servlets to access a database. This was
pretty easy in NetBeans but I'm having trouble in Eclipse. Is there a web
module generator that creates the web-inf and web.xml? Are there specific
plugins that would help? Any pointers to Newbie tutorials on Eclipse would
be greatly appreciated. Oh yeah, the email address is legitimate, I'm just
trying to avoid spam in my regular account. Thanks in advance.

Eclipse IDE isn't shipped with extense JSP capabilities. You need to extend
your IDE with 3rd party plugins. Take a look at
eclipse.org -> Community -> Projects & Plugins
There are a couple of links to plug-in listing sites. You will find some
usefull plugins there which also include documentation on specific things
you have to know to develop JSP.

Two of the best modules in this arena are the Lomboz J2EE module (free) and
the MyEclipse workbench modules (subscription). Check the Eclipse community
section for links to sites that have modules you can download.

Thanks, the Lomboz plugin works perfectly.
