Slightly OT: How to read these newsgroups with thunderbird [message #93148] |

I need to start asking questions about using Eclipse, so I signed up to
these news groups, and was duly sent both a username and password.
I would just love to be able to read (and Post) to the the newsgroup from
within Mozilla Thunderbird. But although I am prompted for a password
when I try and connect, there seems no place to enter the username. I
have no idea what username it is actually trying!
I wondered if changing the user.js file could enable this, but then
finding documentation for this also seems sparse.
Anyone achieved it?

Well it seems to work this evening. I don't know why today and not over
the weekend - maybe I am walking around with my eyes closed.
Anyway - sorry for the noise.
