Added the Java Builder to a CVS project [message #91705] Wed, 03 August 2005 11:39 Go to next message

I created a project using the New -> CVS project wizard. It's a set of Java
files under a src directory. I can't seem to associate the default Java
Builder with this project. I go to 'Build Path' -> Configure Build Path ->
Builders and there seems no way to associate Java Builder (i.e. where the
heck do I look for this thing? ) with this project. Am I doing this all
wrong? Should I be checking out the project manually and then creating the
eclipse project as a Java project? Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Cam

It sounds as if the project was not created as a Java project.
One option you have (maybe the easiest) is to delete the project from
Eclipse, making sure NOT to delete all the contents when it asks you.
Then re-create the project from the new project wizard, making sure to
specify it as a Java project and to use the exact same project name as
you used before. Eclipse will recognize the existing files and use them.

I'm not sure, but it may not automatically recognize the CVS status of
the newly re-created project. If so, you can just right-click on the
project and choose Team > Share... and it should then realize it is
associated with CVS.
