slf4j.api not found [message #905842] Fri, 31 August 2012 03:21 Go to next message

I'm trying to do a headless build with Jenkins using Buckminster. When executing it, I get:

!MESSAGE Missing requirement: xxx.feature 1.0.0 (xxx.feature.feature.group 1.0.0) requires 'org.slf4j.api 0.0.0' but it could not be found

Any pointers on how I could resolve this? I really have no clue how to find the root cause of this.

It seems that Eclipse IDE includes this by default, whereas Buckminster can't find it in the repositories.

Are you using the same target definition in IDE and headless build? Your xxx.feature depends on org.slf4j.api but it cannot be found during the build.

To add to this, you need to check that org.slf4j.api is making it into your p2 repository. You can quickly test this by building your product locally in IDE instead of waiting for Jenkins build.

Thank you for your reply. Actually, it is by default included in the PDE tooling, but not in a headless build (Why? I don't know). Nonetheless, I manually imported the dependent jars into my projects, so this issues doesn't occur anymore in my project.
