TIme-out occurred while attempting to launch the process [message #90282]

I got a "time-out occurred while attempting to launch the process" error
when trying to profile a java application using JVM TI on java6.

The config\service.log shows (with some xml):
CONSOLE LAUNCHED COMMAND for connection(5005)

I see no java process (except eclipse) is running from the task manager.

I have also tried to delete the config file and run setconfig.bat again,
but this doesn't help.

The "Test Connection" button in eclipse shows success.

Are there any other log / config files I should look at?

This machine is running
Eclipse 3.2.1
Windows XP
Java 6
TPTP 4.3
JVM TI

Some more infomation:

"Profile" button on the toolbar -> "Monitor" tab -> "Java Profiling with
Instrumentation" -> "Test Availablity" say,
The JVMTI agent org.eclipse.tptp.jvmti is not available.
Make sure the agent's libraries are available and that it is
configured properly.

There is a java.exe process spawned by TPTPProcessController.exe
the java process takes no cpu and does not end.
