Eclipse check for update errors [message #898553] Thu, 26 July 2012 11:05 Go to next message

I searched for simular issues as mine but cannot find a solution that works.

I am unable to add server types due to dependencies. One suggestion found was to update eclipse and then it should work, but I get dependency issues when trying to update eclipse and do not know how to solve them. It looks like if I solve the eclipse update the server update will be fixed also since it appears to be the same WebLogic Server Tools dependency.

Here is the details of the eclipse update :

Cannot complete the install because of a conflicting dependency.

I have the same problem with Android, IMP and ANTLR... Conflicting dependencies. Like the old Windows DLL hell.
Would having a separate copy of Eclipse for each IDE plugin work?
Or would the Eclipses share conflicting state saved on disk and in the registry?
Wasting all that disk for duplicate copies and updates not ideal either.

Looks like your Oracle plug-ins refuse to work on Helios or anything newer. Are you able to update them?
