Hello,

I'm admittedly fairly new to Eclipselink. I'm working to convert a project from EMF to JPA and would like to use Eclipselink instead of Open JPA. I seem to be having some difficulty in getting Websphere 7 to use Eclipselink instead of Open JPA, however. Currently I'm using RSA 8. I've decided to use a simple Java EE project for testing which consists of an EAR project containing an EJB project and a Dynamic Web project. I've attempted to use the steps outlined here: http://wiki.eclipse.org/EclipseLink/Examples/JPA/WebSphere_Web_Tutorial , although I have to admit that they're not abundantly clear to me. Currently I'm seeing this error:

EJB with interface javax.persistence.EntityManager not present in application GSAR-WebEAR

which I understood to be symptomatic of communicating cross-EAR. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I'll be glad to share any config details that I have.

Please include your code and the full exception stack trace and when you get the error. Enable logging on finest, does the persistence unit deploy? Does you same test work with Open JPA?
